January 15 - 29. 2020
Entebbe International (EBB)
Hot days - Warm evenings
With each trip booked a local Ugandan photographer will be invited to join us for a few days during the first week of the experience. A 7 and 14-day trip/Itinerary is available, so you can join us for a shorter time if this works for you, this trip can also be tailored for a one to one truly personal experience.
JAN 15 - Day 1
On Arriving at Entebbe International Airport - you will be met by Tommy and David along with one of our drivers as you begin the drive (40km) to Bushpig Backpackers your accommodation and first stop in Kampala.
JAN 16 - Day 2
A calm start to the day with Breakfast, meeting some of the team and ask plenty of questions before a fun welcome tour of Kampala. In the afternoon we will discuss your personal and photographic goals for the adventure ahead. Into the evening, we can explore some more areas around Kampala.
JAN 17 - Day 3
Today we join the community at New Hope Dance Project in Kampala. An inspirational group of young Ugandans, together we will take a guided tour through the community and you will be part of the team on the Okwebaka Bulunji Project. Here we take a deeper look at storytelling and making images that say what you want them too...You may be required to dance a little.
JAN 18 - Day 4
After breakfast, we travel to Jinja Town then onto Bujagali and Kyabirwa Village. A relaxed time to settle into accommodation and meet/greet your families. A little village tour before enjoying your first Bujagali Sunset over the Nile and then prepare yourself for dinner at Davids.
JAN 19 - Day 5
Sleep in or an early Sunrise this will be a daily choice whilst in the village and the walk to a breathtaking sunrise scene at the Nile is only ten minutes Returning for breakfast and a morning photography session(based on your goals). Afternoon village walk followed by a local Family Dinner.
JAN 20 - Day 6
Boda Bike in to explore Jinja Town for the day. In the afternoon we join local commercial Photographers for a workshop run by Tommy.
JAN 21 - Day 7
We take a trip to one of the largest rapids on the river, Itanda Falls, hopefully, we see some kayakers passing through or at least a raft or two flipping. This is an iconic location with thundering whitewater, some freaky wildlife and plenty of ways to get creative with the cameras.
JAN 22 - Day 8
OPEN DAYS - we will plan these days with workshops and opportunities to explore/plan/shoot personal projects. If you're just joining us for 7 days this is where you will leave us.
JAN 23 - Day 9
An evening with the Jinja Photo Walk. A group of local and international photographers who head out monthly. These walks are hosted by the very talented Emily Ward, who runs her wedding photography business in Uganda. Out for Dinner In Jinja Town.
JAN 24 - Day 10
OPEN DAYS - we will plan these days with local projects, workshops and the opportunity to explore/plan/shoot personal projects.
JAN 25 - Day 11
We head to Jinja Market in the morning to source and buy the supplies for the evening Dinner at Mamas, a beautiful way to spend your last evening in the village. This is a family meal prepared and shared with pure heart and humor, everyone is welcome.
JAN 26 - Day 12
A super early start heading to Murchison Falls National Park and the start of our Safari. Visiting the top of Murchison Falls is possibly one of the most ferocious picnic spots you will ever dine at. You thought Itanda was Big!
JAN 27 - Day 13
The day begins as the sunrises above Murchison Falls National Park, we begin our 4-hour long game drive as we make our way deeper into the park to see Elephant, Lion, Giraffe, abundant birdlife and other animals. After lunch we jump aboard a 3-hour river safari to the base of Murchison Falls seeing, Crocs, Hippo, and if we get lucky some Elephants drinking from water level. A shorter sunset safari as the day comes to a close.
JAN 28 - Day 14
We leave Murchison Falls National Park after a small safari south of the river. We take a trip to Ziiwa Rhino sanctuary on the way back to Kampala and take a walk with the only Wild Rhino in Uganda.
JAN 29 - Day 15
Depending on your onward journey we share a team breakfast and say our goodbyes.

DAVID - HEAD GUIDE >>
David will be a daily part of your trip, his passion for photography is undeniable and over the last 3 years, his skills have grown as he has become a vital part of creating some of our most creative images. A keen videographer, David takes it upon himself to document all of our trip activities, much of which can be seen in the videos I share.

ADAM - LOGISTICS MANAGER >>
Adam is a very savvy part of the team, he rarely picks up a camera...unless it is the one on his phone to check he's looking sharp. Adam is your Logistics manager, running his own business he knows the right people in the right places to get us from A-B-C.
Growing up in the village Adam went on to study in Kampala, this knowledge and insight really can help us get to places we may never have known about.
In case of cancellation request by you, the following cancellation penalties from the total amount of refundable services will be applied: - 50% for cancellation requests received 75 or more days prior to arrival - 75% for cancellation requests received between 74 and 35 days prior to arrival - 100% for cancellation requests received less than 35 days prior to arrival
